New (3/2009) uploads:

Sundown Band (traditional PA gear) - 24 Hours, Come Together

The Soul Hoosiers - on YouTube

 The Cubs on YouTube.

Following are the rest of the old videos from 2005-7

A collection of  videos  that I began taping when I got my Sony mini-DV cam in the summer of 2005.

My former  bands Straightline,  and  The Cubs, and clips  from bands in my studio

or groups that I've sat in with or been to see live.

I WILL BE ADDING FILES OFTEN...CHECK BACK!

I began posting them to use in the BOSE FORUMS to show examples of their new

Personalized Amplification Systems in various setups.

(Most are big mpeg files, not great for dial-up connections.)

I hope you find something valuable or interesting in them.

The Pappa Topp band...my old friends John Longmire and Michael McClure played for a gig arranged by Jim Koester in Macomb, IL. on Sept 30.2006.  This one is a medley of songs at the Dog Pound.   I brought along my three Bose systems for this one.  The guitar is running thru a Fender Twin, everything else is in the Bose systems.

The Cubs - (2005)...the early days, we just learned this Beatles' tune,

Do You Want To Know A Secret  the week before and it's a keeper.  We

are getting better at this kind of tune, simple melodies with harmonies.

This was our THIRD Bowling Alley jam.

The Bose system has really been a help tightening up our vocal sound.

STRAIGHTLINE  - at the Fulton Country Fair, Tim & John's home town.

We used 3 Bose systems  that night, and we loved it.

Alas...it is borrowed and we no longer have it, but we have this memory.

Song is "New Age Girl".  You can also find this one on YouTube.

Terry Layne & Midnight Blue at The Virginia Country Club. - This was a private anniversary

party for some local folks.  This was my old band in the early 80's, we get together about

once a year for a jam with a huge PA system (not a Bose).  The clip is NOT an intentional medley of songs,

I cut the video into pieces, so as to  include a few different styles of music.

Brave Combo!  Live at the Underground City Tavern (QuickTime Movie)

I taped this (with their permission) when BC was in Springfield in August 2006.  Sent them a copy of the DVD and they liked the clip of a jam they played using Cigar Box Guitars that Springfield local singer, Randy Irwin made for them.  They put the jam up on YouTube.  Here is a copy of  it.

April 2008, A reunion with Memphis Jesse Reed and The Soul Hoosiers at The Stag in Havana.

Here is a pieced together medley of a few of the tunes.

In the band also is John Longmire, Dick Marcott, and Rick Deason.
